Well tomorrow starts our home study! I am very excited!! I am trying to figure out (asking advice!!) do I balance this, the I-600 and the dossier now? I know I will ask the agency but curious of how others did it!
On a fun note, I woke up at 2:30 this morning not sure why, but then I laid their daydreaming about picking up my little ones!! Will they be boys, girls, one of each??? How old...all the good stuff! I then realized that I have to make sure that someone is at the airport to take pictures....yes I know I am WAY ahead of myself, but I enjoy the thoughts!!
Won't that moment at the airport be amazing!?! Daydream away!
ReplyDeleteday dreaming will get you through :)
ReplyDeletewe did our homestudy, then i600a then dossier. but i know things have changed. and i also wish I had applied for i600a earlier. whfc makes your wait date start = approval of i600a date - so that would probably be your priority :)
We completed our homestudy first with our local agency. While we were waiting for that to be written we collected some of the documents we would need for I600 and Dossier for WHFC. If I am remembering correctly WHFC must first receive and accept your homestudy before you can submit the other...? That being said, always check with your agency as things change all the time. We had no problems and feel we really did everything as quickly as possible! Good luck to you! I'm doing a lot of daydreaming these days too!
ReplyDeleteI think the agency told me I couldn't submit the dossier until I had at least one homestudy visit. They knew I was neurotic. Hindsight, I might have delayed the dossier a bit. My hometudy was not a fast process. The social worker was given l0 weeks to write a report which takes an afternoon. Therefore, my fingerprints, etc should be expiring much later than they are right now. However, I think it won't matter for me in the long run. What age range are you requesting?
ReplyDeleteHi, We are currently waiting on our I-600 and had to submit our finished homestudy with the I-600 form. I think it may be different in different states we are in Arizona. Not sure but we have our dossier waiting on the table for our final piece of paper work. GRRRR! I hate waiting but I guess I will have to get use to it. :) Good luck with everything it is not an easy process at times. We are still at the beginning of the whole thing. -Kala http://scottandkala.blogspot.com/
